SWEAT + STRETCH + COFFEE
Join us at the Blackbeard back patio for a fun, outdoors, ALL LEVELS yoga class!
The class will be broken up into 2 parts: first half will be an active practice and the second half will be more stretching and relaxation focused.
We will flow between poses focusing on linking conscious breath with a strong and mindful practice. Students will build strength, flexibility, stamina and concentration while simultaneously cleansing the body and calming the mind. Students will be introduced to yoga postures through step-by-step verbal description and demonstration followed by a flowing sequence linked with the breath.
This class is suitable to those brand new to yoga as well as those wanting to continue and deepen their existing practice.
MEET YOUR INSTRUCTOR
Maile Wilder attended her first kids yoga class at 6-years-old and yoga been part of her life ever since. Maile believes in meeting and challenging each individual student where they are in their practice; Compassionate yoga for all skill levels and life stages.
Maile is Yoga Alliance certified through Wilmington Yoga Center with over 300-hours of teaching experience in all types of settings. She completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training through Wilmington Yoga Center in 2017 and is now at Asheville Yoga Center completing her 300-hour Yoga Teacher Training. In conjunction with ground-based yoga, she is also a certified AntiGravity instructor.
Off the mat you'll find Maile enjoying coffee, reading, spending time outside, or renovating her 1977 Airstream.
